This has been a great week for Skeeters. I've had a week off from work and much of that time I spent working on the project.

In the process I have:

Completed animation for all 5 episodes
Completed final rendering of all 5 episodes
Setup a three machine "render farm" (more like a render "garden"). It takes 3+ days for these machines to render out all the frames of the animation.
Assembled all episodes into a single movie.

It's not all complete, though. I still have sound effects and music to deal with.

Episode 3 is in production at the moment. It is the technically most complex episode in the series. I have the basic end to end timing completed, but it is a long way off to even first draft. Here is a still from one of the test renders:

It's been a while since I posted an update. Skeeters is back in full swing. On May 2nd, 2004 I had a recording session with Allix, Molli and Nancy to lay down the voice tracks for 5 more episodes of Skeeters. Here is a picture of Allix and Molli doing their mosquito impressions. There is also a picture of me during the same recording session.

Since then, I have been busy modeling and animating. I have completed the final draft of Episode 2 featuring a new wasp character. There are no sound effects or background sounds, just voices and animation.
